Writing Workshop

Aayla came to a workshop today to work on her writing goal. She is learning how to record the sounds she can hear in order. We looked at some pictures of three letter words. We needed to carefully sound out each of the letters and write them down. We had a lot of fun stretching out the words and listening for the sounds we could hear. Aayla was able to make the link with her phonic lessons and could identify some rhyming words. Great connections in your learning Aayla!

Achieving my Writing Goal

Aayla has been working really hard on her writing goal of using spaces between words.  It is now much easier to read her interesting stories.

Aayla has chosen a new goal of being able to write all the sounds she can hear in order.

Our Phonics

In our phonics lessons, we have been learning about word families. This week we are learning words that belong to the 'at' family. Here is Aayla's silly sentence:

Music Pattern

For Friday Surprise Day we continued our exploration into patterns. Today we used music to create a pattern. Can your child explain their pattern? Can you make a new pattern together?
